Joe Robert Morrow, 65, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
Joe was born on April 28, 1948 to Elizabeth (Lyton) Lacy and the late Herbert "Dover" Morrow. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Ann Long on December 16, 1995. Joe worked for many years as a truck driver for the Dan Christiani Excavating Company where he later retired. He was CEO of the Regulators Social Club in New Albany, Indiana. Joe loved hunting and fishing.
Joe is survived by his wife, Phyllis Morrow; children, Jeff Morrow of Atlanta, GA, Patrick Morrow (Camiki) of Atlanta, GA, Joe Wade Morrow (Tarasha) of Elkton, KY, Jacquella Redd (Tyyu) of New Albany, IN, & Marshaun Long of New Albany, IN; mother, Elizabeth Lacy of Allensville, KY; sisters, Alma Muir of New Albany, IN, Glenda "Carol" Turner of Louisville, KY, Charlotte Morrow of Elkton, KY, & Flossie Foster (Sam) of Allensville, KY; brothers, James Mosby (Johnetta) of Allensville, KY, Quintin Lyton of Alexandria, VA, Paul Lacy of Russellville, KY, Marshall Stone of Danville, IL, & George Stone of Ottuwa, IA; god children, Latonya Booker of New Albany, IN & Toemica Woodard of Elkton, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert "Dover" Morrow; sisters, Brenda Sue Mosby, Bambi Morrow & Leslie Morrow.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Monday, June 17, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (60 Mount Pleasant Lane, Allensville, KY). His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at the church with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.
