Joe Campbell Morris Jr., 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.
He was born on July 2, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joe and Lucille Morris. Joe grew up in Miami, FL and attended the University of Miami. He retired from the United States Navy and the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty L. Morris of Louisville; children, Cindy Clark of Austin, TX, Melanie Heim (Dan), and Melinda M. Donnell (Court), both of Louisville; sister, Pamela Dickman of Louisville; grandchildren, Ashley Ingalls of Auburn, AL, Katy Readyhough of Austin, TX, Mason and Campbell Donnell, Jack, Sadie, and KK Heim, all of Louisville; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Joe's memory be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
