JoAnn Hermes Wright, departed this earthly plane on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She was a retired Vice President of PNC Bank, attended Lynnhurst United Church of Christ for many years and subsequently Bethel St. Paul UCC. JoAnn enjoyed boating and traveling with her husband and family, along with knitting, needlework, and sewing.
JoAnn was born on November 6, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Norbert George and Eva Hager Hermes. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Forrest D. Wright, Sr., her two sisters, Norberta Coffman, and Charlotte Guynn, and her grandson J.P. Wright.
JoAnn is survived by her two sons, Don Wright (Marty) of Louisville and Phil Wright (Julie) of Danville; granddaughters: Courtney Thompson (Eric), Erica Lucas (Thomas), and Mary Catherine Beath (John); great-grandchildren Clark, Jemma and Julia; and sister Norma Martin.
Per JoAnn's wishes, cremation was chosen. A visitation followed by a service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive).
