Joann Summers

JoAnn Summers, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home. She was born to George and Josephine Brown on July 2, 1932 and was raised alongside four siblings.

JoAnn went on to marry the love of her life, Frank A. Summers Sr. and together they raised five children: Timothy Summers, Dwight (Diane) Summers, Jeffrey (Myra) Summers, Becky (Jody) Grizz, & Melissa Summers. JoAnn was employed with Jefferson County Public Schools as a bus coordinator from which she retired after 20+ years. She had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a follower of Jesus and loved her family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. There will be an addition visiting hour on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 11:30am – 12:30pm with a service beginning at 12:20pm. Burial will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241).
