JoAnn Rogge, 69, passed away on May 5, 2024.
A sister. A mother. A grandmother.
Warmth in her presence and chills from the thousand yard stare she could give.
She was born on August 15, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ronald Winkler and Geneva Alcorn Winkler. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Geneieve Rogge; husband, Steven Lee Rogge; and sister, Sheila Wetherholt.
If it wasn't her way, then it was the highway. JoAnn would have wanted it known that she most likely died from being stubborn in some fashion or form. She enjoyed watching that number 24 car making all those left turns. You would think with her driving she aspired to be like him. She loved having everyone over for the holidays. Annie, her sidekick canine, ate better than most of the people there.
JoAnn is survived by her significant other, William "Bill" Deitsch; sons, William "Billy" Ayles, Jr. and Steven Rogge, Jr.; sister, Sherri (Al) Pierce; grandchildren, Justin Ayles, Justyce Ayles, Dahlten (Magan) Hallsen, Stephen Rogge, Lacey (Justice) Bond and Ethan Murphy; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Private Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
