Joann Miles Kessinger

Joann Kessinger, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Joann was a loving wife of 49 years and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church for many years. When she wasn't spending time with her family she loved going to BINGO, listening to Elvis or cruising to the Bahamas.

She was born on December 5, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joseph and Georgetta (Spaulding) Miles. She is preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Werner Miles, Mother, Georgetta Weber, Husband, Michael G. Kessinger, Daughter, Beverly Kessinger, Daughter, Becky Ann Fulks, and Sister, Mary Ann Miles.

Joann is survived by her loving family, Grandson, Alexander D. (Alisha) Kessinger, Granddaughter, Gabrielle R. Fulks, Cousin, Bobby Davis, as well as a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Joann's memory be made to Breast Cancer Society or James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
