Joan "Joni" Walker, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
She was born on July 17, 1956 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Abe and Betty (Graf) Walker. Joni graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School and the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Nursing. She worked in healthcare as a Registered Nurse.
Joni is survived by her son, Nathan Hart and his fiancée, Arnesha Roach; siblings, Fran Cummins, Pat Smith (John Brent), Margie Ebelhar (Jeff), and John Walker (Colleen); father of her son, Chris Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
The family requests that contributions in Joni's memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society, 1000 Lyndon Lane, Suite B, Louisville, KY 40222.
