Joan Thurman, 88, passed away on March 16, 2023. She enjoyed playing BINGO and watching UofL women's basketball. Joan loved cooking Sunday dinner for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Thurman, Jr.; son, Steven Ash Thurman; brother, Bill Ash and her parents, Guy and Pauline Ash.
Joan is survived by her children, Cynthia (Larry) Cook, Joseph M. Thurman, Kenneth W. Thurman and Glen Thurman; grandchildren, Melissa, Tara, Kasey, Ashley, Megan and Joshua; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Ash; sister-in-law, Norma Pusateri and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm with a celebration of Joan's life beginning at 6pm.
