Joan Agnes Sanders

Joan Agnes Sanders was born in Louisville, KY, on January 12, 1938 and passed away on April 30, 2022. She was a resident of the Masonic Nursing Home in Shelbyville, KY. Joan loved staying at home raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working outside with her flowers, bowling and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Sanders; daughter, Pamela Sanders; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Wills and her brothers, David Willis, James Wills, Joseph Wills and Kenny Wills.

Joan leaves to cherish her memories. her sons, Will (Debbie) Sanders, Dennis (Terri) Sanders and Daniel Sanders; grandchildren, Teather (Danny) Welch, Bo Sanders, Aprille (Shane) Locker, Trevor (Maray) Sanders and Jacob Sanders; great-granddaughters, Maya and Cora; sisters, Dorothy Jenkins and Marie Nall and her brother, Charlie Wills.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-7pm. A celebration of Joan's life will be Friday, May 6, 2022, beginning at 10am at the funeral home.

Joan will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
