Jo Anne (Warren) Thomas

Jo Anne (Warren) Thomas, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. She retired from both Jewish Hospital and Trilogy Health Services. Jo Anne had a particularly close relationship with her sissy, Sharon, and cherished spending time with her family.

She was born on October 5, 1933, in Salem, Illinois, to Joe and Iola (Holsapple) Warren. In addition to her parents, Jo Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Thomas; son, Eddie Sturgeon; brother, Hurschel Warren; and grandson, Justin Thomas.

Jo Anne is survived by her sons, Steve Sturgeon (Paula) and Marc Thomas (Roxie); sister, Sharon Wall (Ron); grandchildren, Jeremy Cravens, Kimberly Sturgeon, and Jessica Sturgeon; and extended family members, Edgar and Betty Thomas, Deloris and Stanley Beard, Marvin and Nancy Thomas, and Jane and Kenny Kaiser.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 6:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately at Mathers Chapel in English, Indiana.
