Jo (Neal) Hooker

Jo (Neal) Hooker, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, entered into eternal life September 9, 2014. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Albany. She dearly loved animals and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Jo was born on December 26, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Frances (Myers) Neal.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Hooker, Jr.; her daughter, Shelly J. Hooker (Larry Burdine – fiancé); and her brothers, Ray Neal (Linda) of New Albany and Eddie Neal (Donna) of Jeffersonville; and sisters, Barbara Lothery (Jim) of Sellersburg and Linda Jackson (Bert) of Charlestown.
Cremation was chosen following Jo's wishes and Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. There will be a private service at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy in Jo's memory may be made to the Floyd County Animal Shelter (215 West Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
