Born on February 16, 1959, Jo Anna was a vibrant force, her eccentric personality lighting up every room she graced To know her was to be enveloped in warmth, laughter, and a peculiar charm that forever echoed in the memories of those fortunate enough to cross her path.
Jo Anna had a talent for bringing people together, a gift she cherished deeply. She would often call for a "PowWow," a familial gathering that resonated with the joy of togetherness and the comfort of shared stories. These gatherings became cherished rituals marked by the delightful aroma of family Sunday BBQs, where balmy summer afternoons were spent basking in the warmth of camaraderie and good food.
Her love for music was profound, and the car rides were special to her; they transformed into spirited concerts, where she would revel in singing with abandon. This infectious enthusiasm spilled over into every aspect of her life, creating rich tapestries of memories laden with laughter and joy.
A devoted parent, Jo Anna’s heart beat strongest for her children. Her unwavering love, particularly devoted to her daughter Gia, showcased her selfless nature—she would indeed give you the shirt off her back, a remarkable testament to her character. Her proudest accomplishments blossomed quietly in the moments shared, the lessons imparted, and the unconditional support she steadfastly offered.
She found solace in hobbies that allowed her spirit to roam free—riding motorcycles and camping at Otter Creek were passions that took her closer to nature, while cooking and working on cars revealed her resourcefulness and zest for life. The pages of her journals captured reflective thoughts, mingling aspirations and musings with the comforting ritual of sipping coffee as the world awoke around her.
Jo Anna held a special fondness for holidays, with Easter, Thanksgiving, and Valentine's Day carving unique spaces in her heart. Each celebration was an opportunity to create beautiful memories, to weave her family's narrative further into the fabric of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anna Frazier; daughter, Gia Frazier; brothers, Johnny and Tommy Frazier.
Jo Anna leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Billie Jean Mitchell; son Jesse Lampkin; 8 grandchildren and her siblings, Connie Gripp, Floyd Frazier and Michael Frazier.
A graveside service will be held to honor the memory of this remarkable woman on November 18, 2024, at Bethany Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. As those who knew her gather, they will undoubtedly find comfort in sharing stories, reuniting for one last "PowWow" to celebrate the love and light Jo Anna brought to their lives.
