Jo Ann Hardin

Jo Ann Hardin, aged 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born on September 8, 1957, in Louisville to the late Virgil and Emma (Kinser) Hardin, Jo Ann’s legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and profound creativity. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hardin, and her nephew, Ryan Callahan.

A graduate of Portland Christian High School in 1975, Jo Ann pursued a fulfilling career as an Executive Secretary at General Electric, where she was known for her dedication, skill, and an inspiring sense of humor that brightened the workplace. Outside her professional life, she had a passion for the arts; she cherished writing poetry for special family occasions and displayed her love for music through singing and playing the piano. Jo Ann was also actively involved in the community and held the position of Past President of the Louisville Ballroom Dancing Club, where she shared her joy of dance with others.

Jo Ann is survived by her devoted brothers, Tim Hardin (Dusty) and Ted Hardin, sister-in-law, Suzanna Hardin, as well as her nieces, Ariana Kirk (Jeremy), Jerica Broeckling (Alan), Tabitha Hurt, Hope Hardin, Kristen Bradley (Andrew), Jessica Mustapha (Ali), Caitlin O'Brien (Michael), and two nephews, Adam Hardin (Laura) and John T. Hardin. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

Her family invites friends and loved ones to gather for a Visitation on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, where everyone is welcome to share their memories. These services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243.

Jo Ann Hardin will be deeply missed, her laughter and spirit forever woven into the lives she touched.
