Jimmy Dale Shockley

Jimmy Dale Shockley, 73, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Jimmy was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, helping his kids and neighbors, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved hunting, woodworking, watching football and movies, and was a self-made man who could fix anything.

He was born on March 18, 1950 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Edward Shockley and Willa Dean (Sikes) Duncan. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Shockley.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jackie Shockley; daughter, Dr. Jamie Shockley Owens (Robert); son, Jacob Shockley (Jennifer); sister, Shirley Makowsky (David); grandchildren, Emma Shockley, Lucas Shockley, Alexis Baker-Noren (Matt); and great-granddaughter, Maren Jo.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
