Jimmy Richardson of Charlestown, Indiana entered Eternal Life peacefully on June 13, 2024 at his home at the age of 84. He was born March 9, 1940 in Frankfort, Kentucky to Louis and Helen Schott Richardson. He grew up in the Stamping Ground, Kentucky area and graduated from Scott County High School in Scott County, Kentucky in 1958.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debbie Richardson (1980), and sister Virginia Vair (2012). He is survived by his daughter, Betty "Susie" Lawson, twin sister, Jeanette Wilhoite, 3 grandchildren: Doug, Ashley and Micah, and 7 great grandchildren: Aaniyah, Malayah, Bella, Rylie, Calli, Greyson and Sutton, several cousins, nieces and nephews, his longtime friend, Mimi Sabie, and his beloved cat, Maggie.
Jim was true to God and Country - having a life long relationship with God and involvement with the Baptist faith and having served in the Army. Those who knew and loved him knew of his passion for golf, fishing and the UK Wildcats.
He worked his entire life as a professional driver having worked as a truck driver, TARC driver and chauffeur.
Jim could always make one smile and his light in this world will be missed.
A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place on Sunday June 30, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 4116 Henryville-Otisco Road, Henryville, IN 47126.
