Jimmy D. Slone
October 11, 1946 — September 17, 2014
Jimmy D. Slone 67, resident of Louisville passed away from cancer on September 17, 2014. He was a member of Highview Baptist Church, graduate of Lexington Baptist College in 1969 and Studied briefly at Tennessee Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga,TN. Jimmy served in The United States Air Force (1969-1973) and worked at Veterans Hospital as a Xray Technician.
Jimmy was saved at the age of 8 when he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for dying for all of my sins on the cross. He was baptized into the Ashland Ave Baptist Church by Pastor Clarence Walker in 1957.
He is survived by his brother Tom Slone. Jimmy is the son of Mr. Sheldon Slone of Caney Creek,Knott Co,KY and Mrs Artie Hoover Slone of Garrett,Floyd Co. KY. Fathers parents Lee Slone and Nancy Jane Slone and mothers parents Levi Hoover and Elizabeth Hicks. He will be buried in Kentontown Church Cemetery.
I am glad that the Lord Jesus Christ died for all my sins so I could go to Heaven, I am so glad.
