Jimmie Lee Proffitt, 73, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. Jimmie enjoyed working auctions, working hard, and earning a dollar anyway he could.
He was born on January 31, 1948, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to the late Robert Proffitt and Martha Thompson. Along with his parents, Jimmie is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Proffitt.
Jimmie is survived by his son, James Proffitt; his significant other of 26 years, Twila Chism; 4 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several friends and co-workers.
Cremation was chosen in regards to Jimmie's wishes. A Celebration of Life gathering will be hosted by the family from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Henryville Community Center (305 US-31, Henryville, IN 47126).
The family requests that contributions in Jimmie's memory be made to the funeral home for help with expenses.
