Jim Hughes
Jim "Coach" Hughes, age 72 passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jon and parents Ernest and Frances Hughes. He was a retired teacher and football coach at Jeffersontown High School, graduate and football player at Western Kentucky University, and a member of Southeast Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife the former Rebecca "Becky" Erwin; and a daughter Laurie Hughes.
Funeral ceremony will be 11:00 am Monday, November 29th at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon to 6PM Saturday and Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive and after 9 AM Monday at the church in the Fireside Room. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Cabbage Patch, Jeffersontown High School Football Memory Walk, or Southeast Christian Church.
