Jewell S. (Walls) Sparrow, 96, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013. She was a member of the Shepherdsville Homemakers Club and Georgetown Christian Church.
Jewell was born on May 22, 1916 in Willisburg, Kentucky to the late Earl C. and Edith M. (Sims) Walls. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Sparrow; son, Jerry Sparrow; son-in-law, Wayne Flock; and sister, Margaret Baker.
She is survived by her children, Norma Flock, Donna Cavanaugh (Phillip), Glenda Hitner (Irvin); daughter-in-law, Ardis Sparrow; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 6 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Georgetown Christian Church (9420 SR 64, Georgetown, IN 47122).
