Jessie Sexton, 84, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Jessie enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants, but her greatest love of all was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was born on July 27, 1938, in Edinburgh, Indiana, to the late John and Mary (Hayes) Waggner. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Bard and Wilma Stewart; and brother, Johnny Waggner.

Jessie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Demon "Junior" Sexton; children, Jessie Storms, Junior Wayne Sexton, Candy Brown (Kevin Ward), Benny Brown, and Lorraine Sexton; brother, Frankie Waggner; 5 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louden's Chapel Cemetery in Depauw, Indiana.
