Jessie L. Faulkenburg

Jesse L. Faulkenburg, 58, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010. Jesse was retired business manager of Laborers' International Union, Local 795. He was a Vietnam Marine Corp Veteran, a member of VFW Floyd County Post 3281, the Redman Club of New Albany and the Pine Ridge Bow Hunters. Jesse was a fun loving generous guy who loved being surrounded by his friends and family. He was a very loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Jesse was born on September 5, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Jessie and Martha (Mahoney) Faulkenburg. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marshall and Wayne Faulkenburg.

Jesse is survived by his children, Julie Kingrey and her husband, Lance of New Salisbury, Indiana, Robbie Faulkenburg of Floyds Knobs and Sarah Meredith of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kelsey, Katlyn, Aubreyona, Tristen and DeAnna; girl friend, Jill Smith, her children, Jessica Paulley and her husband, Chris, and Jacob Wethington and her grandchildren, Matthew, Nicolas and Gavin of Floyds Knobs; brothers, Robert Faulkenburg and his wife, Karen of Floyds Knobs, Darrell Faulkenburg and his wife, Lina and David Faulkenburg and his wife, Marilyn all of Georgetown, Indiana, Roger Faulkenburg and his wife, Tronna of Clarksville, Indiana; sister, Sissie Faulkenburg Eurton of Birdseye, Indiana; beloved dog Dion and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Monday, August 30, 2010 and 2 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, August 31 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). His funeral will be celebrated at 7 PM on Tuesday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.
