Jesse Hinkle Jr.

November 5, 1942 — August 28, 2022

Jesse Garfield Hinkle Jr was born November 5, 1942 to Jesse Garfield Sr and Alma (Jones) in Griffytown, Ky. Due to the sudden death of his mother at a young age he was adopted by his great uncle and aunt Luther and Irene Hinkle, who loved them unconditionally.

Jesse joined Kenwood Baptist church in Crestwood, Kentucky as a young child. Later he joined Green Castle where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior he remained a faithful member until the passing of his wife Delores and health issues

He graduated from Eastern High School and went on to study mechanics at Ahrens Vocational College. During that time he was drafted in to the United States Army. Later on Jesse worked at Phillip Morris where he retired as a machine operator after 27 years.

He was an avid UL fan, he loved spending time with his family and friends and he was a member of the Freemasons. Jesse's culinary skills were revered and enjoyed by all especially his Thanksgiving dressing and banana pudding. He loved watching Westerns and golf.

He was very loving devoted father, grandfather, great grand-father and uncle.

Jesse was preceded in death by his first wife Mildretta Hinkle; which the union created, two sons, Craig (Jennifer), Jesse G. III (Houston, Tx) and one daughter Kelly. His Grandchildren Craig, Jr. (Erin), Jessica and Sabrina and Great-Grandchildren Ariana and Ava.

Also preceded in death by his second wife, Delores (Taylor) Hinkle and his loving sister Mary Ann Hobbs.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his six step sisters, his beloved niece Lyssa (Markus) Mixon and nephew Luther (Tamesha) Hobbs of Loganville, GA.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Green Castle Baptist Church (4970 Murphy Ln, Louisville, KY 40241) from 11:00am - 1:00pm with services to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will be private for family taking place at Berrytown Cemetery (12606 Berrytown Rd, Louisville, KY 40223).
