Jerry Joseph Stephens, 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
He was born on October 25, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, to Harry and Margaret (Blunk) Stephens. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Grant Stephens, Mary Brown, Frank Stephens, and Esther Salked.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lonnie Stephens; children, Attila Stephens, Diana McDermott, Jerry "Jay" Stephens, Lori Hoehn (Jason), and Shannon Buchter; grandchildren, Kaila Buchter, Angela Stephens, Timothy Roslez, Kandas McDermott, Eric Buchter, Ashley Buchter, and Tristen Buchter; great-grandchildren, Maleah, JoJo, Kaylynn, Ava, Bryer, and Jacob; and siblings, Walter "Buddy" Stephens (Helen) and Nettie Luckett.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service and military honors taking place at 4:00 p.m.
