Jerry Wayne Spencer

Jerry Wayne Spencer, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

He was born on July 26, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward and Freda (Carwile) Spencer. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna K. Spencer; and brothers, Walter Spencer and Lonnie Edward Spencer.
Jerry is survived by his loving family, son, Jerry Stewart Spencer, daughter, Amanda Spencer (Kevin) Furtado, grandchildren, Bethany, Hunter, Darion and Austin; siblings, Patsy Bishop, Vicki Jones, Diane (Jerry) Dunaway and Ronnie "Butch" Spencer and his loving dog, Tiny.

Jerry was a hard working man that spent his life taking care of his family. He had worked for the past 34 years at AutoZone. In his free time he enjoyed music and going to see live bands. He loved watching his UK Wildcats, and Mustangs (the cars and the horses). This time of year in Kentucky was especially important to him; he loved everything about the Kentucky Derby and all the experiences that came with it. Overall, Jerry was a private man, but to the ones that knew and loved him the most, he will always be remembered for being a great husband, father, brother and grandpa.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 17th at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy). A service will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 18th at the funeral home, he will then be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
