Jerry R. Hedden, 70, of Elizabeth, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. Jerry retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville after 35 years of service.
Jerry was born on January 19, 1943 in Elizabeth to the late Ellis R. and Catherine (Prell) Hedden. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy A. (Anderson) Hedden; children, Jeff Hedden (fiancé Gerri), Lesa Harl (Leroy); siblings, Robert Hedden (Caroline)Lavon Hedden (Julie), Linda Morgan (Les); grandchildren, Ashley Best, Amber Hall (Adam), Cody Harl; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Depauw UMC Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (161 St. Matthews Avenue, Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207) or to Depauw UMC (10613 Stoner Hill Road, Elizabeth, IN 47117).
