Jerry R. Cook, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
He was born on October 3, 1960 in Louisville , Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Eugene Cook, mother, Mary Jane Melead, step father Joseph Melead, sister, Judy Cook and his nephews, Anthony Bryant and Christopher Simms.
Jerry enjoyed watching U of L sports, fishing, horse racing, drinking coca cola and spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judith Cook, children, April Harber, Brian Hager, Shauna (DJ) Cook, Randy (Necole) Cook, Robert (Casey) Cook, Kevin Roberts, Damien (Aven) Cook, Crystal Wilson, Samantha Keown, and Jennifer Sutton, grandchildren, Alex (Haylee), Joshua, Kaydence, Janey, Devin, Altreeus, Dayenair, Demetrius, and Brianna great grandchild, Elliott, his siblings, Steve Cook, Bobby (Lisa) Cook, David (Linda) Cook, Tonya (Roger) Fitzgerald, Jackie (Jody) Welsh and Brian Cook, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
The family would like to say a special thank you to DJ for all the care, love and support he has shown recently.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy) Thursday, February 9th and his service will take place at 11:00 am Friday, February 10th at the funeral home.
