Jerry Lee Coleman better known as "JC, Six and Jero" he was 66, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.
He was born the youngest son of eight born in Winfield, Alabama on August 2, 1951 to James D. Coleman and the late Betty J Stewart-Coleman.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary E Coleman, Brother, James W Coleman, Brother, William L Coleman.
In 1970 he met and married Mary Coleman and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky were the married 40 years and had two children; Valerie and Vanessa. Jerry worked for Cliton Brothers in 1970 and worked there until 1973 when he became employed with L&N/CSX Railroad. He worked there for 23 years before retiring due to his first battle with lung cancer in 1997. Jerry accepted Christ in his middle age of life at the Midwest Church of Christ.
Jerry is survived by Daughter, Valerie E (John McKanney) Coleman, Daughter, Vanessa Coleman, Daughter, Marian N Drake, Brother, Calvin Coleman, Brother, Lorenzo J (Florestine) Coleman, Sister, Phyllis Y Blackburn, Sister, Alethea (Ronnie) Wilson, Sister, Jacqueline (Christopher) McCollum, Sister-In-Law, Shirley Coleman, Sister-In-Law, Devora Coleman, Father, James W Coleman, Special Friend, Luvenia Blackburn, Grandson, Jerry ML Coleman, Granddaughter, Jada M Coleman, Grandson, Ja-Quale M Coleman; and a host of other family members and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Midwest Church of Christ, 2115 Garland Ave., Louisville, Kentucky, 40211, burial will follow at Louisville Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the church.
