Jerome Shelby born to Anna Mae and John Louis Shelby on December 2, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky.
He attended public school and was baptized at Patmos Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky at an early age. He later married Sheraline S. Binford and had two children: Ifia Binford and Cedric Jerome Binford, Sr. He retired from Anderson Wood Company in Louisville.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Anna and John Shelby and his sister Doris Jean Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Ifia Binford of Louisville, Kentucky and Cedric Binford (Alicia) also from Louisville, a brother Rudolph Shelby, a nephew Brian Smith and a niece Renee Martin, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
