Jeremy Austin Schepers

Jeremy Austin Schepers, 40, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born on October 18, 1984, in Louisville, Kentucky, Jeremy was the son of Timothy J. Schepers and the late Sheila (Garland) Schepers.

He graduated from Liberty High School in Louisville in 2003, demonstrating an early dedication to education that would continue throughout his life. Jeremy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in 2007, and he further pursued academic excellence by obtaining his master's degree from Vanderbilt University in 2011.

Jeremy had a deep love for music and enjoyed the experience of attending concerts. His passion for video games was matched only by his enthusiasm for collecting comic books and anything related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Along with his father, Jeremy is survived by his siblings: Timothy B. Schepers, Brittney Elliott (Eric), and Zach Norris; nieces and nephews—Maverick, Gannon, Ella, Delaney, and Zeppelin; and his close cousin, Jason Schepers.

His wish was to be cremated. Jeremy had fought bravely and became a survivor of brain cancer, a testament to his strength and resilience. The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
