Jere Painter, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.
He was born on September 16, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Louis and Bessie (Koch) Painter.
For 35 years, Jere spent his professional career as a Pediatric Dentist. Jere's greatest loves were his family. Together, time was spent boating, waterskiing, camping, fishing and scuba diving. A personal passion was woodworking. Longtime active members, Jere and his wife, Ginny, attended Southeast Christian Church as well as the "Sojourners" Sunday School Class.
Jere is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia Lynn Painter; son, Louis S. Painter (Heidi); and grandson, Brooks Painter.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm at Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Road Louisville, KY 40299).
The family requests that contributions in Jere's memory be made to Southeast Christian Church.
