Jeffrey Steven Truax, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
He was born on September 10, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, to Fred and Yuvoe (Heflin) Truax. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Truax.
Jeff is survived by his brother, Richard Truax (Linda); nieces, Jennifer Truax and Julie Ballard (Bill); nephew, Todd Truax (Jacquie); and great-nephews, Justin and Jordan Truax.
Jeff's wish was to be cremated, and a reception of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service celebrating Jeff's life taking place at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
