Jeffrey Clay Thompson

Jeffrey Clay Thompson, 55, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was a long-time carrier for the Louisville Courier-Journal and an active member of Abundant Life Christian Church. Jeff was a hard worker that always provided for his family. He enjoyed hunting and cooking, especially grilling out, and also Chinese food.

He was born on June 27, 1962, in New Albany to the late James and Marilyn (Kron) Thompson. Jeff was also preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Sears.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathleen (Brown) Thompson; children, Jeffrey Thompson (Leanna), Jason Thompson (Kara), Amy Heil, and Amber Thompson; brother-in-law, Doug Sears; grandchildren, Forest, Sophia, Nicholas, Lyla, Jonah, and Noah; and nephew, Bryant Sears.

Cremation was chosen following Jeff's wishes. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Christian Church. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care.
