Jeanette Petitt

Jeanette Marie Petitt, age 76 of Taylorsville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her home. Jeanette was born in Los Angeles on November 18, 1935 to the late Andrew and Jeanette Malinoszky. She married Sam Petitt on October 12, 1953 in Los Angeles, Sam preceded her in death.

Jeanette was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her whole life. She loved her family and spent time sowing blankets for her grandchildren. Jeanette enjoyed researching her family's genealogy. She also enjoyed caring for her garden, cooking, and baking.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her grandson; Christopher Thompson.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Renee Marie Trewhella (Richard Cris Ballard) of Taylorsville, KY, Yvette Smith (Ronald) of Kansas City, KS, and Andrew Scott Petitt (Sylvia) of Bakersfield, CA; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 901 Chambers Boulevard, Bardstown, KY, with visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka, KS at a later date.
