Jeanette P. Moreton
February 9, 1938 — June 6, 2022
Jeanette P. Moreton, age 84, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 after a long and courageous battle against Multiple Sclerosis. Coming from humble beginnings, she put herself through beauty school by working in a factory in Cincinnati, OH and then built a thriving salon business, The Scissor Wizard, in Middletown, Ky. She was preceded in death by Her husband of 30+ years, Bruce Moreton.
Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Lisa Meyer (Robert) and Heather Moreton (Anthony); her grandchildren, Austin Duvall, Stuart Duvall, Zachary Duvall and RJ Abounader; her great-grandchildren, Charleigh Duvall, Denzel Duvall and Oliver Duvall; her brother, Bill Patrick (Verna); and nieces, Connie Sneed, Becky Overstreet, Sheila Patrick Brock and Theresa Patrick Powell; and a host of relatives and friends.
A gathering to celebrate Jeanette's life will be from 3 to 5pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
