Jarod Wesley Lovekamp, age 20, follower of Jesus, went to be with his Savior September 29, 2020. Jarod, born June 19, 2000 in Louisville, Kentucky, lived fully for Christ. He was a homeschool graduate of the Christian Educational Consortium where he played basketball. Jarod's desire was to attend a large Christian college in a big city with lots of people and activities – Grand Canyon University located in Phoenix, Arizona fit him perfectly. He was a Senior at GCU studying Business Entrepreneurship. Jarod had a heart for serving others and did that through numerous mission trips, leading small groups, and building genuine relationships. He also had a passion for travel and seeing God's creation. Jarod continued his acts of service through organ donation.
Jarod is survived by his parents, Rick & Traci Lovekamp; two sisters, Kirstin (Tyler) Britt and Amanda (Frank) Peer; grandparents, Mark & Kay Lovekamp and Wes & Jackie Worley; aunts and uncles, Mark & Rachel Worley and Kim & Bryan Eddinger; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 4 cousins; and a host of family and friends.
More than anything, Jarod loved Jesus and it was his desire that those around him knew that Jesus loved them as well.
Visitation will be 10 am to 1 pm Saturday October 10, 2020 at Southeast Christian Church 920 Blankenbaker Parkway Louisville, KY 40243. A celebration of Jarod's life will be there at 1:30 pm.
Burial will be private.
