Janis Mae Galchick

Janis Mae Galchick, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021.

Jan was born on April 18, 1956 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Jack and Nancy (Stephenson) Milligan. She was a 1974 graduate of Salem High School as well as a graduate of Bowling Green State University (undergraduate) and Georgia State University (graduate). Jan was retired as a self-contracted Speech Pathologist through the Jefferson County Public School System and pre-schools. Jan was active in various card clubs, golf and bowling clubs, and attended Epiphany Church.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Lawrence (Larry) Galchick, daughter, Laura Cole (Justin), son, Michael Galchick (Lindsay), grandchildren, Charlotte & Lillian Cole, McKenna & Carson Galchick and brother, Stephen Milligan (Julie).

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with a reception to follow at The City of Douglass Hills Park Gazebo (park at - Crosby Middle School - 303 Gatehouse Lane, Louisville, KY 40243). She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a future date.
