Janice Laurraine Pilgrim, born on July 8, 1940, in Forsyth, Montana, to Lawrence Knoll and Helen (Seliski) Knoll, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, preceded in death by her husband William Pilgrim.
Janice is survived by her loving sons Matthew (Paula) and Steven (Kristine.) She was cherished by her eight grandchildren: Lindsay (Mike), Erik (Amanda), Taylor (Sydney), Nathan (Alison), Jonathan (Katie), Victoria (CJ), Skylar (Eric), and Christopher. Her 12 great-grandchildren McKenna, Carson, Wyatt, Elizabeth, Max, Wesley, Mason, Theo, Josie, Billy, Isla, and Nora, all adored her.
Janice had rich and fulfilling careers in both Nursing and Travel, notably serving as the Director of Travel for AAA Kentucky. She travelled extensively around the world, reliving each trip through wonderful stories for friends and family. Her passion for music and art was evident in her life; she played the piano, sang in the choir, and was an accomplished artist in several mediums.
After raising her sons in Montana, Newfoundland Canada, and Minnesota, Janice shared her retirement years with family in Kentucky and South Carolina. Her personality lit up every room she entered. Her sense of humor and quick wit made her a joy to be around, and she had a unique ability to connect with everyone she met, never meeting a stranger. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
