Janice Kathryn Kruer

Janice Kathryn Kruer, 73, of Starlight, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was a 1967 graduate of Providence High School and a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

She was born on April 18, 1949, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to Ambrose, Sr., and Mary Rose (Schmidt) Kruer. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her siblings, Kevin Marie Kruer, Ambrose Kruer, Jr., and Carolyn Holden; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Lilly and Richard Costelle.

Janice is survived by her brothers, Merle (Dorothy), Jim (Betty), Norman (Kathy) Kruer; sisters, Evelyn Lilly, Doris Costelle, Patsy Nett (Jim), Jean Schellenberger (Paul), and Cheryl Book (Jim); sister-in-law, Judy Ann Kruer; brother-in-law, Joel Holden; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
