Janet Williams

Janet Williams, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was a proud member of the Daughters of American Revolution. Janet enjoyed attending church, bible study, spending time with her family, and most importantly growing in her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born on May 5, 1938, in Vincennes, Indiana, to the late Roscoe and Leta (Sweeney) Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Rex Jones, and Melvin Jones.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Fred Williams; two sons, Jeff (Leslie) Williams and Steve (Lisa) Williams; six grandchildren, Zeke (Harley) Williams, Belle Williams, Kelsie (Jeremiah) Winters-Bullock, Caleb (Ashley) Williams, Ashleigh Libs, and Connor Libs; two great grandsons, Bear and Wolf Williams; sister in law, Sue Jones; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on October 23, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Hamlin Chapel in Vincennes, Indiana.
