Janet Sue Waldridge-Cox

Janet Sue Waldridge-Cox, 73, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Janet loved her dogs and going to the boat to gamble. Above all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

She was born on April 1, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to Harold and Wanda (Husk) Nelson. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Waldridge; her husband, Charles Cox; her mother, Wanda Merline Nelson; her father, Harold Nelson; her sister, Donna Burden; and her niece, Wanda O'dell.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Quinn) Justice; sons, Robert Waldridge, Chuck Cox, Jr., Christopher (Carrie) Cox, and Chad Cox; sister, Karen (John) Powell; brother, Alan (Donna) Nelson; niece, Janice Baumhardt; nephew, James Burden; grandson, Randall Baker; granddaughter, Natalie Cox; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
