Janet Marie Slusser Bareis, 61, passed away on June 9, 2021. She loved her family, music, traveling, going to the beach and her Chorkie, Pebbles. Janet enjoyed working in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Eugene and Addie Marie Slusser.
Janet leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 45 years, Patrick Bareis; children, Jason Bareis, Sean Bareis, Brittany (Joshua) Greenwell and Nicholas Bareis; grandchildren, Addison, Nathan and Jonah Greenwell, Demetrius and Demontaze Duncan; brother, David (Deborah) Bales; sisters, Brenda Sue (Mark) Childers and Bonnie Marcum; many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Janet's life will be Thursday, June 17, 2021, beginning at 10am.
Janet will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens – West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
