Janet E. (Vaughn) Andres, 71, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014. A former employee at Walmart in New Albany, Janet enjoyed creating arts and crafts projects.
Janet was born on November 29, 1942 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Harry and Florence Vaughn. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Vaughn, and brothers, Jay, Ronnie, and Johnnie Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Alvin G. Andres; daughters, Barbara Sewell (Mike) and Nancy Burnett; brothers, Donnie, Paul, Steve, Jimmie, and Geno Vaughn; sisters, Doris Howell and Theresa Stidham; nine grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, March 31, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 12 PM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg.
