Janelle Denise Ashley

Janelle Denise Ashley, 59, of Depauw, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born on April 21, 1963, in Corydon, Indiana. Jan was a lover of music and enjoyed reading in her free time. She worked at Morgan Stanley for many years and made many great friends there. Jan dearly loved spending time with her family.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Meagan Gerlach (Mark); son, Kevin Ashley (Jeri Cox); father, Darrell Shickles; sister, Camille Pelayo (Marty); nieces, Michelle Pelayo (Brent Lienhart) and Lindsay Ball (Trent); nephew, Martin Pelayo (Misty); grandchildren, Madelyn, Jacey, Macyn, Gracie, and Mavery; and great-nieces and -nephews, Gavin, Kyleigh, Syndey, Maddox, Kyndal, Cameron, and Maverick. She is preceded in death by her mother, Connie (Howerton) Shickles.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Cremation was chosen following Jan's wishes.
