James "Butch" Willis Jr., 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. James served in the United States Army during Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of First Virginia Ave. Missionary Baptist Church.

James was born on March 9, 1949 in Tampa, Florida to James and Cassie Willis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sisters, Joann Willis and Beverly Ann Willis, Son-In-Law, Eric Burden Sr.

James is survived by his loving Wife of 41 years, Patricia L. Willis, Daughter, Tonda L. Burnett, Son, Sean D. Burnett, Son, Antonio L. Burnett Sr., Daughter, LaQuita M. Burden, Son, James A. Willis, III (TeeTee), Son, James A. Laws, Daughter, Patrice F. Willis, Daughter, Elisha R. Willis, Sister, Barbara A. Willis-Lewis, Sister, Brenda Wright, Brother, Raymond Marriott, Brother, Joe Willis, Sister, Gloria Spike, Brother, Johnny Hodgeson, Brother-In-Law, Robert Miles Jr., 15 Grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

A gathering for James's family and friends will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy), with a celebration of his life to follow at 2:00 pm.
