James William White

James W. White was born May 27, 1942 to parents James and Lillie White. James graduated from Louisville Male High School, was an U.S. Air Force veteran and he retired as a printer. James accepted Jesus Christ and later joined Bates Memorial Baptist Church, where he has been a member since 2003.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Glenda (Dowery) Newton-White, his sister, Lucinda Terry, his children, Dion, Ryan (Starla), Jamie, Jessica White-Randall (Jamar); step daughter, Nedra Liddie (Eddie); step son, Edward Newton (Michelle); god-daughter, Laterese Fields; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who loved him.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2019, at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, 620 Lampton Street, Louisville, KY from 6pm-8pm. A celebration of Jim's life will be Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the church beginning at 2pm.

Burial will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
