James Robert Twiford

James R. Twiford, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 14, 1952 to the late Lloyd and Jackie Twiford. He was retired from Cissell Manufacturing, a veteran in the United States Army and was the former owner of Jimmy T's Tavern.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Elvis Aaron Twiford; a step son, Michael Anthony Long; and a brother, Jack Twiford.

James is survived by his beloved children, James Daniel Twiford and Dana Twiford; two step daughters, Tammy Price and Tracy Gallagher; a brother, Steve Lloyd Twiford; a sister, Linda Twiford; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 North Dixie Highway. The family will gather from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
