James Thomas Coffman

James Thomas "Jim" Coffman, 76, of New Albany passed away at Floyd Memorial Hospital on Monday morning, May 24, 2010. He was retired from General Electric and a member of New Beginnings Community Church in New Albany.

Jim was born on November 16, 1933 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Harold Thomas and Sylvia Ellen (Mott) Coffman. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ann (Stubblefield) Coffman. He is survived by his sisters, Martha Croninger and her husband, Harry and Helen Bostock, all from New Albany; niece, Deborah Chaffin; nephews, Thomas, David and Michael Bostock, Kevin Croninger and his wife, Lisa, and Stephen Croninger and his wife, Deirdre; many great-nieces and nephews; and close friend and neighbor, Shirley LaDuke.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 and after 11 AM Thursday, at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1 PM Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home with entombment to follow at SCI Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the J. B. Ogle Animal Shelter, 201 Willinger Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
