James Taylor, Sr.
James P. Taylor, Sr., 74, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011. James was a truck driver for over 28 years. An avid fisherman and a very loving man, he never met a stranger.
James was born on March 27, 1937 to the late William and Laura G. (Davis) Taylor. He is survived by his children, Herbert Shirley, Nina Devoe, James, Jr., Kevin, Tammyla, Gregory, Jason, Brandon, Joshua, and Jennifer Taylor; brothers, William and Samuel Taylor; sister, Georgia Roberts; 33 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he dearly loved.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2011 and after 11 AM on Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home.
