James T. Linderman, Sr., 73, of Lexington, Indiana, formerly of New Albany, passed away on December 11, 2013. He was a retired truck driver and a United States Army veteran. Jim was a cowboy at heart, enjoying western films, horseback riding, and was an excellent marksman.
He was born on July 22, 1940 in New Albany to the late Chester D., I and Mary A. (Ballard) Linderman. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Veron) Linderman; and son, Joseph Linderman.
Jim is survived by his wife, Thelma (Northern) White-Linderman; children, James Linderman, Jr., Linda Linderman, Chris Linderman (Debbie), Charles Linderman, Michelle Willoughby (Justin); step-sons, Nicholas White (Michelle), Jonathan White; 6 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 1 step great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 12 to 4 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service being held at 4 PM. Burial with military honors will take place at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
