James Forrest Snyder

James Forrest Snyder , 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, country music, and spending time with family and his beloved dogs. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a big IU Basketball fan.

He was born on November 21, 1941 in Leavenworth, Indiana to the late Arthur and Anna (Russell) Snyder. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Carole Yvonne Snyder; and three brothers, Ernest, Otis, and Joseph Snyder.

James is survived by his children, Garon (Barbara) Snyder, Trevor Snyder, and Tricia (Luke) Snyder; grandchild, Peyton Snyder; great grandchild, Tripp Clark; and his life partner, Denise Snyder.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) and Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at from 10:00 am until the time of service. His funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
